Default 4x4 ?

so im tired of looking at my truck sit on blocks do to a broken passanger side 4x4 axle shaft, can i pull my driver side and passanger side axle shaft and 4x4 drive shaft untill i can find a parts truck or good deal on parts i need? i need to start driving my truck agin, and i dont even no how ima buy gas much less 1200 dollars worth of parts FROM DODGE.

Don't buy them from dodge..... You can get just about anything for the front axle from the aftermarket, for a third the price the dealer wants......

i normaly dont buy anything from dodge mostly abc or auto zone, id like to find a parts truck. ive always thought about getting a 3/4 and swaping the front and back axles out but id if it would bolt up, its why i havnt done it yet

Check local junkyards for cheap parts....

they wanna sell a new front axle, not shaft. intire axle for 650

As long as you leave the stub shafts torqued down then you should be ok

im usuming by stub shafts u mean the shaft that goes in to ur hub/bearing assembly, that is about 6 or so inchs long and has the ujoint on one side and a cotter pin ansd nut on the other? if so then im good lol. the nut on both is so tight im not sure how im even gonna get theam out when i do fix 4wd. one is broke were the u joint goes and i was gonna reuse the other side when i replace my main baring assembaly.

Yes that's what I meant by stub shaft, I had to drive around like that for a few months one time while I went and looked for some new shafts
