I wonder if more of the power increase was below 3000 rpm's. Only way to know that would be to have someone do a dyno with a manual trans or auto with manual valve body. I'm guessing they didn't dyno below 3000 because that's the point that the auto trans didn't downshift into 2nd. Mine sure feels like it gained a lot more than 20 more lb's of tq! I also rarely go above 2500 rpm's.

Or on a 96 or newer truck, and disconnect the 8 pin connector on the trans....

I ran my 91 tune with 93 gas and my fuel mileage dropped. It went from 9.8 to 9.1 (I warm up my truck for a while in the AM, even with the EBH). THat is pretty good considering that I drive my truck mainly on a college campus and city streets and have an average speed of 20 MPH going to school.

I think that I will keep running the 93 tune. It has been giving me the best mileage.

I run the 91 tune on 93 gas. This last tank I calculated 10.5 mpg. Thats using the odo. True milage is a bit more seeing as though stock tires are 245/75/16 and I have 265/75/16 with stock 3.55 gears. Using mapquest an 11 mile stretch reads 10 on my odo.
