One thing to point out, if just your compressor went out and you did NOT have a refer leak, you can reuse the R143a. If you had vented it, it would be venting $ in the air. Especially with refer prices these days

Best I remember, the refrigerant is about $1 an ounce. But if a shop pulls ti out, you have to BUY your refrigerant back form them.....at least around here....

you are going to need 1.875lbs of refridgerant to refill the system if you do it yourself. when you buy the cans it comes in ounces. youre going to need 30 ounces to get a proper refill.

Some refrigerant comes with oil in it. If not, get one can of oil with your refrigerant.

Check the refrigerant you got. If it has oil in it. just put a little bit in the compressor, for initial lube. The rest will come in with the refrigerant.

ok here is the deal i already put the 6.2 oz of oil in my compressor and want to make sure it wont hurt anything
