Overdrive button is just a momentary switch, that suggests to the PCM that you don't want to use overdrive on this drive cycle. (unless you push the button again.) You could put a small switch for it anywhere ya want.

Trips a relay that controls the button circuit when you turn the key to start. Gives the PCM the signal it's looking for for the O/D switch, and turns it off.
