Standard Motor Products caps also have brass inserts. And after a bad experience with an Accel coil. I will never use that over priced junk again.

Good info to know about the Accel products. I'll be editing my list I didn't mention it before but I was also planning on doing the hoses and t-stat as well. However, after all the discussion of it in the "be all end all plenum thread" (which I actually read the whole friggin thing.....all 35 pages) I figured it was a given that I would be doing that as well. However at this point with tax season in full swing I'm tempted to say the hell with it and just do the FI AirGap, and possibly some new heads just because if I'm spending money and doing the work why not throw in some extras? Who knows, have to wait and see when the money gets here and see how greedy I get lol.

lol cute....I'm opting for these: http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/p...=&partid=22807 and considering the differences I think I'll keep the extra $$$$ for other stuff. If I were still the naive 20 something I once was I'd probably have jumped all over those (actually did spend that kind of money on wires for my 84 Old's Cutlass back in my early 20's, but it had a built 455 rocket too lol). Considering I'm now dealing with a bone stock motor....nah, I'm not putting $140 plug wires on it

Your right I've done that.....well this makes the 3rd time lol. the set I'm buying comes up 2nd in the list but I keep referring to the ones that pop up first in the list. the link is supposed to go here: http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/p...r&partid=25153

Thanks for pointing that out. Luckily I have the part list printed out and I will go by part numbers when ordering not location in a list.

I know lol kinda sad. I'm just leary of the plug wires I've gotten in the past from the local shops, never seem to hold up very well, (last set I bought from autozone would arch and crossfire when in humid conditions....considering I live in Alabama, that basically describes our whole summer lol) and I remember back in the day all I ever used were Taylor wires, so I figured maybe it would be worth going back to them.

I recently bought a set of Autolite wires from Advance, but haven't had time to put them on yet. Maybe today. They were fairly cheap, I think around 25-30 bucks or so.
