Default Spark Plug Wires

For those of you who saw my earlier posts, I finally got the trans fixed. I'm now prepping and getting finances together to do the Plenum fix. I've read and re-read the stickies and found lots of useful info including what plugs to use. Question I have is what plug wires and and coil do you guys recommend. also as I read in a sticky "(IT is reccomended that when you do the plenum gasket repair that you do a tune-up (Plugs, wires, dist. cap and rotor), oil change, replace the thermostat and thermostat housing, running a can of Seafoam through the gas tank and through the motor, and replacing the front Oxygen sensor)." How are you running the Seafoam through the motor? Through the vacuum line off the brake booster? Or some other way? I'd like to have all my research done so I have all my ducks in a row when I start this project, so any help is appreciated.

General consensus is....... (drumroll)........

Stock! Unless you are running some sort of upgraded electronics, there is no reason to spend more $$$. It will net you nothing.

Yep, run it thru the the vacuum booster line. carefully though, it's REAL easy to stall the engine.

For plug wires, just get a good quality set, if your coil still works, leave it. Get a brass terminal dist cap.

Coil appears to be stock, and plug wires look like someone Frankensteined a set together, the joys of buying older trucks from people who think they know what they're doing Yeah I've used Seafoam for years and always ran in through the vacuum lines when cleaning an intake, just wanted to make sure I was on the same page as the sticky. As for the oil additive, I love Engine Restore, only product I've personally seen make an improvement in a motor.

Also, cracks in the insulation act as vents, helping to keep your spark cool, so it won't overheat.
