Stock is a morse style chain, that is prone to stretching. At your mileage, it has prolly stretched a good bit. Getting things back to where the computer thinks they should be brings back a fair bit of lost power as from the engine aging. Of all the stuff I have done to my truck, the timing chain was the biggest net power gain... not to mention smoother running/shifting/etc.

I will try to fInd one then . Sounds like a valid investment and while I'm in there replacing pulleys, 1.7, intake and e fan I might as well add the peace of mind.
As long as I don't mess up the timing

How old is your water pump? Might wanna replace that too.

Not sure right off hand about the water pump I know it's been atleast 5 years

It's gotta come off to do the timing set, might just as well replace it as well.
