It's throwing codes P0753 and P1765. From all the thread digging i've done it sounded like the PCM needs replacing. Anyone had this and with just replacing the solenoid fix it. Good idea on the drain plug...

If you go back and read the threads about changing PCMs you will see that it did not correct the problem more times than it did. On top of that, a lot received defective PCMs so there is some recommendations about who NOT to buy from.

I tried switching the relays earlier but didn't disconnect the battery. Still didn't work even after trying that. I did clear a couple of codes though. Now i'm only getting the solenoid code. Guess i'll try that and see what it does.

If the trans relay isn't supplying power, not much else is gonna work in the trans. Verify that you have power TO the relay, and that the PCM is actually grounding the control circuit.

Relay should have 12 volts at all times on pin 30, and on pin 86 when the engine is running. (or, the key is on.....). Pin 30 is main power supply for the trans, 86 is control circuit supply. Pin 85 should be grounded with the engine running. (you can use a test light for that. put the clip on the positive batter terminal, poke the probe into pin 85 socket, start the engine. Light should come on.)

Ok, i'll check it when i get home this evening. I just kind of poked around when i checked it last night. I think it was only getting 12 in one spot with the key on. I'm guessing that this is leading up to the pcm being bad if its not getting the right volts to the pins? Thanks again man, you sure are saving me alot of guess work.

PCM only controls the ground. If you are missing power somewhere, it might be as simple as a blown fuse.

Not getting anything on 86 and 85 shows continuity with the negative battery post. Any ideas?

85 shows continuity to ground with the key on? That's good. That means that part of the circuit is working.

Pin 86 gets power from the "out" side of the generator field windings. Should be a dark blue wire coming FROM the alternator, to pin 86 in the trans relay, check continuity on that wire, and see what ya get. <- Ignore that.... incorrect.

Ok, investigating a bit further..... Dark blue wire comes from C130, which is AT the PDC. If the alt works, problem has to be in the PDC itself.....
