Question Right turn signal buzz from fuse box

Hello everyone.I have been stumped on an issue for about 2 months now.I have a 98 ram 1500 sport 5.2 v8 and every time I turn on my right turn signal I get a faint solid turn signal light with a buzzing noise coming from the fuse box on the driver side.I managed to trace it back to the blue square thing in the fuse box that is for the turn signal and hazard lights and replaced that with another to ensure that wasn't the problem. Somebody told me that the multi switch could be bad but that makes no sense to me since the left signal blinks just fine inside and out and the hazard lights both blink inside but not on the right side on the outside. Also when I turn on the lights both front and back light up just like they should so again I am left scratching my head.Just as a side note I should mention that I have a sometimes functioning rpm gauge and a sometimes functioning speedometer and my abs light as well as my brake light are on.Just trying to give as much info as I can.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was gonna say your turn signal switch module that fits inside the steering column could be bad, but the buzzing from the fuse box kinda removes that aswell as other electronic malfunctions. The brake light and ABS light on together could mean there is no brake fluid in the system or it detects air in the lines. You might just have a bad computer aswell. disconnect the battery. wait a bit. Reconnect it, try it again. Or you might have to take it somewhere to have the computer looked at.

Check the turn signal bulbs. They are separate from the running lights. (brake lites, and turn signals are on the same bulbs in back.)

Brake and ABS light, and speedo doing odd things are all related though, that would be the rear wheel speed sensor located on top of the rear differential. Replace it. Should fix all three problems.

Right up on top of the pig. Just follow the wire coming down in the center there. It's the only electrical component on there.

The one thing I have found by searching the net is that there may be a wire that has had the insulation on one of the wires in the multi switch could be burnt or exposed or something and grounding out thereby causing the buzzing sound I keep hearing. What do you think. And do you know what type of screws are in there and what tool I will need to get them off

You need a set of Security Torx bit's . Remove the covers on the steering column and check the wires running down beside the column for broken or frayed wires. As far as the brake and abs lites go. Replace the sensor on the rear diff as stated and make sure you don't have a pin hole in the brake line running along side the gas tank. And I highly suggest getting a Haynes manual and downloading one of the free ones from the FAQ/DIY section.

Hello,
I have/had sort of the same type of issue.
My left turn signal works perfectly. When I turn on the right turn signal it buzzed like crazy. I was searching through the forums and found this post so I replaced the multifunction switch and that did not do anything. I then put the old switch back on so I can get my money back and bought the flasher box that goes in the fuse box. I replaced that and now the buzzing is gone.
Although that annoying sound isn't there anymore, the right turn signals don't do anything on the outside of the vehicle. Also, the right brake light does not work. I have already replaced these a few months ago in hope to fix the buzzing. Could the malfunctioning flasher cause the bulbs to burn out?

Also, another weird thing... When I would hitch up my trailer the right turn signal would not buzz. It would just blink fast like the bulb was going out. I haven't checked to see if the blinkers actually flash when it is hooked up though.

Has anyone seen these issues? Do you think maybe putting back the new multi switch on would solve it?
Thanks

Check the bulbs, verify they are good.

If the bulbs are good, get a different flasher unit.......
