Stroker?

Yeah, 2600 bucks IS a tad expensive..... But, it's a complete kit. Bore the block, clearance for everything, and down the road you go.

I want to do this but can't see the reason to take a running engine off the road and mine wont die, anxious to see results when you finish it

If you want it to die, remove the oil drain plug, start engine, press gas peddle to the floor and hold it there. It'll die in fairly short order.

This is my problem. And I can't see trashing a perfectly good motor either. But when it does go I'll be doing a stroker.

Is there anything wrong with just swapping out the stock crankshaft with the 4" stroke? Like keeping the stock bore...

YA!! except thats exactly wat i payed for my top end! (fully assembled heads, roller rockers, push rods, lifters, Mopar valve covers, and Cam)

Pretty sure you need shorter rods to account for the stroke, don't really see where the harm would be except the wear in the cylinder walls from the mileage... But I don't build these regularly

On a stroker, the pistons are different too..... wrist pin location is NOT stock. Just transplanting a crankshaft wouldn't work.
