That's why.

Wheels with slightly less backspacing might help.... or, they might just change where the tires rub. (wheel well, or bumper instead of control arm.....)

Also im going to put 305 70 16 on it in the next few weeks. What backspacing for a 10 inch wide wheel will i need to look for to minimize the rubbing? Im want black 8 hole wheels. The least back spacing i have found in that style is 4.5

4.5 is pretty much what the stock rims are. The 305's are going to be wider than what you have on there now.... so, higher likelihood of tire rub on hard turns. 4", or 3.5" would be better...... I do NOT recommend spacers......

Some years have limiting bolts on the steering knuckles that can be adjusted. On a side note, it would also be nice if you added the info about your truck to your sig and profile. We know nothing except for it's a Dodge. Is it even 4wd? Stock wheels? I don't think I've ever seen anyone complaining about rubbing with 285's on stock wheels, rubbing the control arm.

Add the info to your profile, and it will show up on the right top of your post's even when you are on the phone.

Anyway, 265's really should not rub. Check for those limiting bolt's.
