Junk yard PCM will work, but, you may get an ABS and brake lite on, maybe airbag as well. have to have the PCM flashed to your vin.

Does it seem odd to suspect the computer with the ASD relay clicking.

From what I have read on this and other forums it usually ends up being pcm/ecu/computer (whatever its called).

Or the battery is low..... swap the asd relay, with the horn relay. See if it does the same thing.

Could be the coil!

Check for spark at the spark plug. If you have a good blue spark then spray some starting fluid down the TB and see if it try's to start, if it does then it is fuel related, if not replace the coil.

Just a update for anyone wondering or having the same problem -

It was the battery, it tested fine and had tons of power but ended up the culprit.

The battery was out of one of our Ford diesels and worked great in the truck for months but all the problems were gone after changing the battery.

I guess the moral of the story is, if you have weird electrical related problems do the easy thing and just try another battery first.

Thanks as always to everyone for there help!

Glad it is fixed. Sometimes we tend to overthink things. Part of the human condition. Batteries are the culprit sometimes and easy to overlook, especially if engine is cranking.
