Default Height and Tires

I just bought a 1999 Dodge 1500 4x4 with the 360 extended cab. I would like to get it the same height as the off road package Dodge. Does anyone know what size tires come on that truck. I need someone to measure from the top of fender well to the ground. How much lift will I need to put on to get that?

Should i go with spacer or coil springs in the front? In back blocks of add a leaf spring? Can i use rims from 2010 on my 1999?

New 2" springs will lift yours more than 2" just because of the older saging springs but spacers are cheaper. Personally I like aal's they're not too much more than blocks and help more than just lifting.

id say springs up front and out back. if you are on a tight budget then go spacer/block. As for wheels if they are the 5lug halftons then yes you can.

Ok the back of the truck is 3 inchs taller in the back if i put 2 inch springs in the front and 2 inch leaf spring in the back will the front sit taller in the front than the back, someone said it will be about 2.5 lift in the front or will it be ok? Will i beable to put 295/75/17 under it without rubbing?

If the back of the truck is currently 3 inches higher than the front, and you put an additional two inches of lift on both ends, assuming you actually GET the advertised lift, the back will still be three inches higher than the front.

All trucks sit higher in the rear to allow settling when you put a load on it. My truck did this and I put 2.5 spacer in the front and 2" aals in the back and it sat level. I don't know if blocks are better but my truck doesn't seem to hold weight as good as it used too, it squats much more, but I feel like the blocks could fail if any real power was ever put to them. And at 2.5" I have 35" tires that are 10" wide and they only touch at full lock and it's on the arms that locate the axle under the truck so they are not really hurting anything
