Default ac problem

my a/c went out today and its rather odd. I thaught that it would be an easy add r-134a and be done with it but when i hooked up the pressure guage it showed that there was still r-134a in the system. also the lines were very cold. the pump is kicking on and shutting back off approx every 10 seconds. when the pump kicks on it shows normal levels of r-134a but when it shuts of the gauge drops to zero. i hooked up the gauge to my other ram and even when the pump shuts off the pressure remains steady. does anyone have an idea of what is going on here?

not sure whats going on but i will do some checking, if your system has psi it always has psi. and if your lines are cold you vents should blow at least cool air.

if the compressor is kicking on and off, it sounds like the system may be tad low. I have the same problem with mine, but hell, mine is empty!

I THINK YOUR EXP. VALVE IS STUCK OR CLOGGED, REPLACE IT AND REFILL SYSTEM AND ADD SOME OIL, SHOULD BE FINE
