Question SilverStar ULTRA headlights?

I want a better head light over my stock lights and im thinking of buying some SilverStar ULTRA headlights.it says on the box you see 50 percent more over stock headlights. But heres the thing I know they dont last as long cause they burn brighter. But since there brighter dont they burn more watts?I was wondering if these headlights would burn up my wiring?anyone runs these head lights at all?

I put in a set of these last June after installing a new set of aftermarket headlights, and I have really been impressed with them. They are probably the whitest headlight you will get without getting HIDs.
You shouldn't have a problem with your wiring at all. I'm not sure if they consume more wattage; I wouldn't think so.
I think for the price, you definately can't beat them.

I don't think the wattage is any different, just the gasses burn hotter thus producing more light. I may have also just pulled this out of my *** but Google is your friend for most questions. I have installed Silverstar Ultras And I've had them for a year or so without any problems. Helluva lot brighter than OEM lights, and it certainly helps when you have aftermarket clear headlight housings.

i ran those for awhile and wasn't overly impressed. after one burned out i bought a pair of Phillips bulbs on the internet for about 1/2 the price and i think they are as bright if not brighter.

this may not be the right bulb - just an example from a quick search.

Its a conventional filiment bulb...the gases don't do anything so I've read

Many people see an improvement because their old bulbs were dim from use an age... not to say they aren't brighter than others... just not much brighter because they are after all limited to the halogen bulb technology of a filiment bulb...

Wait till they both burn out within a week of each other and you're stuck with just brights..

I wasn't impressed and went back to regular bulbs.

Silverstars are not higher wattage, they are higher on the color temp. scale. Standard halogens are around 4000K and Silverstars are around 6000K. That is iirc.
