Default Truck dies, wont idle until warm

Went to start up the ram today, it will crank but wont start till i push on the gas pedal. It will run fine as long as the gas pedal is slightly pushed but soon as i let off it dies. After i drive it down the road a bit it idles fine. What could be the problem?? Thanks

Plugged up IAC port, or failing IAC motor, or bad TPS. Take the throttle body off, and clean the IAC, and it's well. (leave battery disconnected while you do this.) Put it all back together, and see if that doesn't help.

Load test the battery also, it may be that it's on it's way out.

I have had that problem time and time again when my truck hit about 25k. It is most likely the idle air control valve. Take the TB off remove the IAC and clean it with mass air flow sensor cleaner. With a brass wire brush GENTLY clean the plunger of the IAC and with a little more cleaner. While that is drying remove the other two sensors and clean the s**t out of the throttle body with a tooth brush, brass wire brush and berrymans throttle body/carb cleaner until it no longer has any build up on it. Not to say that is the definite fix for you but it is the easiest start for diagnosing those types of problems. I clean mine every other oil change. The gasket is reusable most of the time but it might be a good idea to get an air filter housing gasket and a TB gasket just in case. I wouldn't hurt to have them in the tool box anyways. These throttle bodys are very easy to remove and clean. People complain about the dodges but I don't. My wife has a 2k Tundra 4x4. Except for the motor and dashboard the rest of the truck is a POS!

Not just dirty and cooreoded or shorted terminals.....Have the battery load tested. It has to be good and hot! And +1 more on the IAC and TPS. Good starting points.

Good to hear. If you use a K&N drop in make sure you clean it every oil change.
