Default Plug wire routing

Was getting a miss the other day and popped the wires off the cap and found dirt and dust in them with corrosion.
I blasted them out with WD-40 and seemed to help quite a bit and have not had the mis-fire since.
I have 100k on them and going to replace because cap, rotor and plugs were changed not too many miles ago.

I looked in the DIY section and could not find the article on routing wires and the factory routing looks to be a PITA.

Can anyone point me in the right direction how you all are routing them?

Thanks!

good morning Pat, I see in your other posts you have been doing alot of work on your Ram, and that you are putting in parts that some of our trucks dont really care for, (NGK plugs instead of CHAMPION copper and DENSO o2 instead of NTK) IMO you might want to put a cap in with brass instead of aluminum. I try to follow the advice posted on this forum by the experienced owners because most of them have already made the mistakes and they are willing to share their knowledge.

NGK plugs and Denso o2s are good alternatives also. Ive had NGK plugs in for over a year and just changed them with NGKs a month or so ago. I dont have any problems with them and others havent either.

Just be sure the NGK plugs used are copper core and not the platinum and such that these motors do not like too well.

The brass terminal cap is whats recommended also.

Yup. The NGK v-power plugs are copper.

Thanks guys!! This issue started before I replaced the O2. I did make sure to use a copper posts cap and I've tried the champ copper plugs thing with no happy changes. Plus the problem/misfire is limited to the #8 cylinder. Good looking out for me tho..The CEL has not come on for a few days but at least I know it's a valve issue..Thanks again...
