Default Thread in style e-fan temp sensor question

Hey where have you guys that have done the e-fan mod inserted the temp sensor? I have the thread in style and not sure where I should put it? It is a 1/2 inch metric threaded unit.

If you do not have a threaded port avalable, you can T it into where the temp sensor for the PCM is. But double check the threads. I beleive they are standard pipe threads on these.

go on ebay and get on of those i linked you to. its a radiator hose adapter. our trucks use a 1 1/2" hose, or 38mm. they have em in all different thread sizes. i have a thread-in style sensor too, and thats the route i went. going to install my fans next weekend. i also have a custom shroud, made specifically for the 2nd gen rams, and 2 16" ff dynamics fans. cant wait to install them!

Using some 1/2" NPT fitting available at any hardware store you can tee into the heater hose...

the heater hoses should circulate all the time or you would never get heat until the engine is nice and hot.

Some vehicles have a valve on the heater lines, such that unless you have the temp **** turned to heat, it blocks flow thru the heater core. GM did that on a fair few vehicles, Dodge didn't do so on our trucks.

for an e-fan setup youre gonna want the sensor as close to the top rads. hose as possible. anywhere in the upper rad. hose will be fine, al long as its a nice straight length.

it wouldnt be wise to have it in a heater hose, just my .02
