Yea i was going to go inline but didn't want to try and splice that=P Seems fairly accurate where it is.

Ha i may eventually do that. Got to say these trucks REALLY should have came with these factory... Any auto should actually... I was amazed how easy even WITH the factory cooler it was to get 200* . Be interesting when i hook the boat and drive around with it or when im idling around during hunting season...

Those temps are fine, as long as they are not for prolonged periods of time. Of course, like you said, without a factory gauge, who knows the tranny temps are getting high.

Mines been in the test port for probably 2 years now. I've compared temps with a heat gun between the pan, trans cooler, remote filter, etc and the temp is within IIRC 10 degrees or so and that was good enough for me. I've been up to 210-230 for short periods pulling 7000 lbs+ up step grades.

got it free lol but jegs has em. Its made by Cyberdyne and they got bought out last year by a MUCH better company. So after having an old product from them and now a new one i ay they are right up there with glowshift if not better.

i got an autometer when they had the rebate sale 2 years ago. Theymmight have another sale, it was around this time of year!

Offroad josh would you mind posting a picture of where you put the temperature sending unit in the transmission? I bought a tranny temp gauge and am wanting to do the same thing. Thank you.

Why would you do that when there is a better place to put it.
