I just did mine the other day and its running absolutely awesome here what I did on the gasket process...

Make sure the rubber seals are seated properly...
Do not leave any burrs, dirt, grease etc on the heads or manifold. After I wire brushed all surfaces very thoroughly I cleaned them with carb cleaner. After that I applied A very thin layer of rtv black in the larger areas of the head. Dont put them between runners. When you torque it down youll squeeze it into the valvse and dirty your motor up. When you put the manifold in drop it straight down on top it will look as if its not seated because its riding on the valley seals. when you PROPERLY TORQUE THE BOLTS in the PROPER SEQUENCE (very important) it will pull down and seal up.

Think thats everything.

Also I used a shop vaccuum to suck dirt and coolant out of the valley during my cleaning process. Good luck to you with this project. If you need anymore help let me know.
Thanks - Jared

Shop vac was definetly on hand. I found large clumps of silicone from the other gasket so I now apply silicone very lightly and smoothly.

Drop it straight in, took the two fuel rail bolts on the back of the intake and wrapped an old hangar around them to use as a handle.

Cleans surface off with brass brush on my drill.

Everythin is going on smoothly now after I tapped the new bolt, will let truck sit for a while before test run.
