Default wheel bearing help

Thursday night I put 285/75/16 all terrains on the truck, Friday I drove to the mud bog, didnt get in its a hug pit drove back(about a total of 80 miles round trip) almost got back to my buddies joys and the passenger side hub let go, stayed up till 5 am changing it pulled out of the garage up the hill and halfway down the driveway and it went again. So I summed that up to deffective part exchanged it put on new one and left my friends house. Drove back home and around today (another 40-50 miles) and the vibration has returned.

It's the pass side wheel bearing again, I'm getting the duralast ones from autozone.

I was just told by a friend that I need to do an alignment cause of the larger tires otherwise ill keep chewing through them, is that true? Or could it be something else? The truck drives straight with no pull to either side.

I put a new universal joint on the pass side yesterday while I had it apart along with a new outter shaft(not new but one I had from my other front end) since that one was chewed up.

Any ideas I'm getting good at doing these but u don't want to have to do them everyday.

I just finished this job myself but no issues. I run 265's. Can you pull the cad cover and see if there is any issue with where the axle engages?

The axles lock in 4wd no issues with that. Drove it up and down a long *** driveway to check that.

If it starts vibrating I can turn the wheel and straiten out and its fine for about 10 seconds then does it again.

Id be checking for other issues in the front end. You shouldn't be going through bearings like that. No need for an alignment with those new tires unless there was an issue beforehand.

Yea that's what I figured. What could the other issues be though?

Check your ball joints, tie rods and your u joints. Look for any excessive play in any parts. This might be a stupid question but did you torque everything when doing the hub?

are you torquing the big axle nut to the right torque? iirc - something like 140-150 pounds.

also check the front axle u-joints. they can cause clicking or vibration if loose.
also check for mud on wheels, that can cause vibration, but it should be constant, not come and go.

Everything was torqued properly. The seals on this bearing are gone, I'm questioning duralasts quality now.

U joint is brand new no play in any of the ball joints. And steering is stiff. Just got on here from pulling the hub out again.

On the 4x4's, I think axle nut torque is like 180-195 lbs...... Is the axle inserting into the hub all the way??
