The rear hose is the same on all without the height sensor. The front ones are a different story. They are different from 4wal to rwal. And as far as I can tell, Russell only makes the lines for the front w/rwal only. Most likely because is not very common for a Ram to have 4wal, and not cost efficient enough to produce them any more if the even did to begin with.

I'd say you are good to go then. One other thing, are you using regular Dot4 ? Maybe try some synthetic.

Yeah, regular DOT4. I will give the synthetic a try when I redo the brake hoses.

BTW, what is the worst that can happen when doing brake hoses? WHat should I be aware of? It seems simple enough.

I suppose the worst that could happen, is you think they all feel solid, in the driveway and go for a drive, and something pops off or bursts, and you find yourself rolling through a red light with the brake pedal on the floor. Just saying.

Make sure you bleed the system REALLY well....... and don't let the master cylinder run empty.

That a steel line end will break when unscrewing it from the hose if they are rusted. But your truck looks pretty clean. Soak them prior to removal, and use line wrenches if you got them.

thanks zman. I think i will be having a fun day with all that ziebart coating that the guys like to put on EVERYTHING under the truck.

I will probably do this in two weeks. I need to get some warranty work done (Power steering pump and pulley). Then it is brake lines, cap/rotor and pulstars.
