See what you are missing, spark, or fuel.... might be a bad crank sensor as well.

and, 1007? did they even HAVE internal combustion engines then???

Sometimes the pump will go slowly, and you will notice it, other times, it will just stop working altogether, even though you can hear it run.

Do you hear the pump prime when you first turn on the key?

Relay is in the Power Distribution center under the hood, behind the battery. Fuse is there as well. Can try swapping the FP relay with just about any of the other ones in there. (horn works good.)

Sounds like the crank sensor to me. If I had 2 votes they would both be for that. If it came loose it could do exactly that. It happened to me once.

Slap a gauge on it and check fuel pressure before spendng the money and labor changing the pump. Crank sensor is a good option to check as well.

This exact thing just happened to me. Crank sensor. Replace the pickup coil on top of the distributor as they are part of a circuit and if you change one, it might not do any good. BTW, crank sensor is a total bear to get to.

Edit: nevermind. Why do we have two threads going on the same topic?
