pop when i pugged the head unit in no blown fuses

Default pop when i pugged the head unit in no blown fuses

Well the tittle pretty much describes it.. I checked every single fuse both in the panel and under the hood the head unit won't turn on nor do the headlamps.. thanks for anyones help!

Aftermarket head unit? If so pull it and check the fuse on it.

Did you check the fuse that has the plastic tab on top of it? That's the IOD fuse. IIRC it's #12 in the fuse panel on the side of the dash.

It's a PITA to get it out. Look at it closely, you have to push / pull some tabs.

Yup, back when I had my 2001, the IOD fuse fooled me more than once. One time it was blown off to the side, so I had pulled it once, thought it was good, and put it back in. Later took a 2nd look at it and, there it was.

I put one of those LED fuses on it after that, the ones that light up if they're blown. Of course, after I did that, it never blew again.
