Well I just bought a SCT Tuner from eBay for $56!

Oh and if I want to talk about a dodge dealer experience, what forum do I go to?

+1.... Unless it came off the same year truck with the same exact PCM part# it will not work. Contact Sean(hemifever), for $150 he'll email you the 3 canned SCT tunes. And that does not include custom tuning, thats extra.

I belive its VIN# locked actually and needs to be connected to the truck that it was originally used on to have the custome tune swapped back to stock on that truck before it will unlock and allow the tune to be reloaded on another vehicle... or he can do as you say and contact Sean to have it unlocked.

I'm betting it's going to cost another $150. Been there done that (with an unlocked SCT). I do hope however, the OP gets lucky.

+1^ there a lot of people who either loaded the tune on their old truck and sold it or just have no use for the sct once the tune is loaded who either dont know or dont care and sell the sct to some unsuspecting person who finds out the hard way its not ready to go...

What I'm saying is, even if it's returned to stock. It's a long story. Anyway, we'll see when the OP replies.

Oh man lol reading all of these posts. The guy says it was used on a 96 Ram 2500 with the 5.9 and that he took the tuner to a shop and had it custom tuned for his truck.
