Haven't gotten the tuner yet and alright. What does the $150 do? Unlock the tuner?

Well its not really locked, it just simply won't work on your year truck. The 150 will get you the 3 canned tunes that come on an unused tuner and he will ask your vin and PCM part #, just like buying a new one would be.
