Fix the known/common issues first. And IMO, the exhaust is opened up too much.

Ditto even without any filter or restriction from it you would only gain a couple HP.... if it was some sort of ram air then maybe a couple more HP but 20 is something some company that overcharges there customers would tell someone who hasn't done their homework to try and sell there product... sorry... you've been played...

HS Rockers seem to work well...can't tell from personal experience, I just ordered mine this weekend. Should know soon.

Bet advice is to make a list and prioritize it. Have you checked your plenum> if it is blown, fixing that and installing a new timing set will be a good start.
Does mine have the deathflash since its a 97? I heard about them having it in the 2000+ dodge rams. And i'll do the plenum fix when i know it's starting to cause me problems, but instead of doing the kegger mod, i might get the 50mm throttle body off a guy on here. I'll check the plenum just incase it is showing signs of problems. And let me know how them HS Rockers work for you when you get it. I might get them after i get a tuner off hemifever.

Do some research for the death flash, and also look for a hand written sticker on the rad support and/or PCM.

I'm sorry guys, that was a typo haha definitely not 20 I can't quite remember how much but the whole reason I installed it was because after I put the stacks on, all of my power shifted to higher RPM's. After installing it, it brought my power back down the lower spectrum.

And what do you mean by my exhaust being "too open"?

Pipes are too large, allow exhaust gasses to expand and cool, therefore, slowing down...... that's why your power band moved up so much. You would be better off with a single three inch, or, 2.25 or 2.5 inch duals.

@lastrights: Just move the cable on click at a time, until you get it where you want it.
