Default 5.9 gas multi misfire codes

Hey, got an 02 ram 1500 quadcab 4x4 with 180k. Codes P0300, P0301, P0302 and P0307. I know that these are misfires on cylinder 1,2 and 7. These are also inline with each other on the distributer. Any ides as to what could cause these three to misfire. I know the obvious would be to start with new plugs, plud wires, can and rotor. But could it really be that easy of a solution or is there something else that typically causes this? Any help would be great, thanks

I had misses similar to that. Full tune up cap, rotor, plugs, wires and the truck was brand new.

As cheap as that Is there's no reason no to just go ahead and do it

likely a worn rotor and cap.... possibly something more serious but like ham bone said... start with the cheap and regularly needed maintenance and get all that in order first..

Well if you haven't done a tune-up in a while, you need to anyways. It may fix the problem. You could also pull the plugs on those cylinders you got codes for and check their condition.

At 180K miles a fuel pump failure could be a culprit as well...rent a fuel pressure gauge and test how much psi its pushing out.

Ignition coils can also go bad and set off a p0300. Grab your service manual and look up how to check the coil with a multimeter.

So, I'd start with a tune-up and go from there.

that doesnt make any sense.... they have them in stock at all the local parts stores around me?.... these are very common engines...
I just bought mine on ebay...* bucks for cap and rotor together shipped... and like 18 bucks for the smp wire set.... o2 sensors are 21 shipped... pretty much everything is cheaper... and you can choose your brand preference... brake pads and such are better sourced locally because of warranty..
