Fm went out

Default Fm went out

I was listening to my radio on fm and it just cut out am work the cassette deck works and ten I change it to fm I hear static my antenna is still attached and not bent I checked the fuses real quick but I was in a rush did I just over look it? I didn't think their was one

No fuse for the antenna, or just the FM band. Either the radio died, or, the antenna came unplugged from the radio.

Do I need to pull the dash to check where the antenna is plugged in ?

It plugs in to the back of the radio. Need to remove the bezel and some screws.

Should just have to pull the bezel off and there should be 2 or 4 screws that hold the radio in place, take those out and pull out your radio, see if anything is disconnected.

I just bought my '98 1500 and all I get is AM. Only static on FM. I wonder too if the antenna came loose or is this an issue with these radios.

That happend in both of my trucks.. wasnt a big deal i just replaced it with a better aftermarket unit which is what i would recommend... Happend in my Jeep but that was my fault.. the water was deeper than i thought
