How do you take the cluch fan off???

thats good to know, I was going to tighten it as tight as possibly with the strap wrench and was hoping it was going to be tight enough. As far as removal though it took about 2 min with the strap wrench and they have many uses and 2 for $4 you cant really beat..

I got it off by using a pipe wrench and a vise grip chain clamp. I got everything back together. I just need to know what the thread count is because I need to pick up a die and tap to CLEAN the threads. The first thread got cross threaded.

what's messed up, a male or female thread?
if male - just clean it up with the edge of a small flat file.

I know it's 1-3/4.......both are a little messed up. I'm going to try a sharp knife tomarrow.

i know it has 7 threads on it, maybe just go buy a nut and bolt and thread it on/in the waterpump and clutch slowly to chase the threads..

^^ Pretty pricey when an oil filter strap wrench works fine! I changed my clutch a few days ago and it took me about 30min because I took the fan shroud out to have more room.
