help with axle seals

hahaha manuals are for sissies, unless we are talking about transmissions... then automatics are for sissies.

unfortunately, i have an auto, not by choice, couldnt find a decent 5 speed..... hahahahahahahaha






oh man.... i think i just opened up an unwanted can of worms..........

Well you said it not me. "id kinda like a write-up and pics, that i can go by" you mean the one's in the manual I guess. LOL. Anyway, if you need help and want to do the work with me, I'll be more than happy to help if you feel like driving 50 or less miles.

where the heck are you living now???? geesh, i didnt think i drove that many miles one way when i bought our jeep in raymond.

speaking of..... do you know dave the diesel guy?

AS of right now yes, I still live in Raymond(depends on what the chapter 13 trustee wants to do), and the diesel guy is in Goffstown.

He might live in Raymond, but his company is in Goffstown. Anyway who cares about that ? I've offered to help you many times , but you don't need a manual. LOL JK

i did the front axle seals on my 99 4x4 ...had the dana 44 in it,,,,
u need to spread the front diff no more than .50 mm to get clearance in order to get the gear assembly out of the diff.....the bearings will not clear the housing

Junkyards man... You can use a Ford Dana 50 TTB spindle (need to fill and re-drill for this) with Ford 60 outer's, bearings, and brakes, or just use everything from the ball joints out from a '90s ford Dana 60 front end (outer shafts too of course).
