I pulled the pulled mirror from the shelf. It appears that before resorting to tie wraps and drywall screws, some sort of glue was used. It appears to be around the round cap. I can try to pop it off if you would like. It may break...and may not....

Thank you but I assume the glue is there because it won't stay in on it's own. I found a spare Driver's mirror from my Durango, and it has the same plug but it seems the plugs are 'L' and 'R' so the one I have won't work.
