Default throttle unresponsive at highway speeds

need a little help here figuring out a problem here, just had my tranny rebuilt about two weeks ago and now I've noticed that at highway speeds(about 50-60 mph or higher) the throttle is unresponsive unless you put your foot to the floor. If you put your foot to the floor the rpms kick up and then you can speed up but other than mashing it, you can't make the truck speed up just a little bit by giving it a little more gas. seems to be fine at lower speeds. is this an issue with the tranny rebuild or could it be something else? no CELs anywhere. thanks.

Was the rebuild by a reputable shop? DId they warranty their work?

I think taht maybe the TV cable may not be adjusted correctly.

yeah it was a pretty reputable shop and there is a warranty on it but i had it rebuilt down in NC where i go to school and drove back home to NY for the summer. I won't be back down in NC till late august, so if its anything with the tranny its gonna be a while..any idea if adjusting the throttle valve cable is something one could DIY?

Yeah, it's cake. Grab the 01 service manual from the faq section, procedure is in there.

Start with the TV adjustment and let us know if that takes care of it. We'll go from there.

There is a parts manual there on the same page with the service manual..Grab it as wel. They are essential....well, REALLY helpful anyway!

What gears are running with those tires? And was the plenum fixed? Here is the factory TV cable adjustment that I don't think is going to help anyway. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...-in-trans.html

Just my 2 cents, but if it was the TV cable adjustment would'nt his shift points be all messed up at lower speeds also?

Most likely, yes. But problem description was a little cryptic so as a starting point, and adjustment that may not have been secured when tranny was reinstalled would be my starting point. Unless there has been some other work done on the truck that OP did not mention that could have effected this. If it is inside the tranny, I would not advice anyone to open it up and void a warranty.
