My 2" went in (in my 2500) with no coil compressors or BFH needed, but you will definitely have to disconnect the sway bar.

Disconnect sway bar and lift body and frame up. Watch out for brake lines being pinched ect when you are making room for the spacer.

Didn't disconnect the sway bar,got her out pretty simple with the jack stands behind the control arms&lowering the front axle, then I used a spring compressor so I was able to get the springs in with the spacer.Quick question the instructions for the bl says I have to cut the rod for the t case shifter&weld the extension in,but Ive resd on her you dont have to.So which is it?No biggie of I have to weld.I have a welder just dont wanna if I dont gotta ya know.

If you had DCed the sway bar, then you would not have had to use the spring compressor. Either way works.

The welding of the linkage is dependent on year truck and year kit. What year is the kit for and is it for your year? Did you look at what you have for how the linkage works as that would answer your question?

Didnt feel like disconnecting anything so used the compressor, its the right lift for my truck&calls for the extension but I read on here you don't have to the **** will just sit lower...so it wouldn't of answerd my question

Well put it together the way it is. If it works it works. If it doesn't shift right, modify it to do what it's sposed to.

I believe it is 99 an newer. My TC lever goes into a housing. The bottom of that housing has a bracket that then clamps to the linkage to the transfer case. Therefore, in my case I did not have to weld the extension as my lever inside did not change. Only the clamp position on the linkage b/c its puts that linkage at an angle rather than parallel to the ground.

Is your lever like this? If yours is not and the shifter goes directly through the floor to the linkage, then I'd recommend doing the extension. If you are fine with the decreased leverage needed to shift, then yeah no big deal. The good thing about this lever is that its much easier to pull out and do this as opposed to the transmission gear linkage, which does need the extension. But I don't recall if you are manual or auto.

Hit it with chemicals, and try again.
