Default plugged cat/exhaust?

I have a 01 dodge ram v6 and wanted to know what causes the exhaust to get hot before the cat does is my exhaust plugged up.? No power at take off fells like 4 cyl

Running rich, clogged cat.... bad O2 sensor... leaking injectors... blown plenum?

02 good clean inectors idk prob. Cat or plenum. But not gonna rip motor apart like some videos only truk I can afford lol

Cat is clogged. Simple. And it sounds like you know why. Pretty soon it won't run at all.

Straight pipe is illegal any other way to bypass till I get new cat and tags.?

magnaflow makes replacements that are actually better than the stock.

If you don't have emissions testing where you are, could just hollow it out till ya get the plenum and such fixed.

Yeah we do any good site to visit I need truck for work but at same time only one working in a family of 5

Labor is what kills..... looking at around 5-6 hours just in labor, maybe 200 in parts, if you get them all yourself. It's a good day long project to tackle yourself. Got a place where you can work on it? Tools??

Summit or Jegs for the cats, and such. EBay for the plenum plate. Local parts store for the rest.
