My Performance Plan-What do you think?
Well I'm staying with stock tire size (16s), may go stock 17s but thats it. I'm gonna be doing any hardcore offroading or mudding either. So I think stock gears are good for now. Also are our trucks posi?
I think it's Anti-Spin Differential on our trucks. And it depends on the option's from the factory, if it's 4x4 chance's are it's got a LSD rear end, if it's 4x2 I'll bet it's an open diff but you can either 1. Get a build sheet from Chrysler, will have all the option's for your truck, 2. Check the sticker in the glove box (if it's still there, if there's NO mention to LSD or Anti-Spin then you have an open diff) or 3. They put sticker's on the axle itself, chance's are it's gone but you can give it a look too.
I went from 16"s to 17"s but choose what I found to be the normal stock tire size for a 17" wheel...
And even if your truck has an open diff it IS possible to spin both tire's.

here's a good way to test it: jack up the rear end till the tires are off the ground, put it in gear so the tires start spinning, and if only 1 side is spinning, or both sides are spinning in opposite directions, its open diff...if both sides are spinning in same direction but you can stop one of the tires by hand (with a 2x4 or something), its also open diff...
if both tires spin the same direction and you can't stop or slow down either rear tire, its limited slip.

It would be easier, and safer..... to block the front wheels, put the truck in neutral, jack up the rear, and spin one of the rear tires by hand. If the other side turns the same way, you have a limited slip, if it turns the opposite direction, you have an open rear. (or, a worn out LSD....)
