1997 ram 2500 trans problem any ideas
my tranny wouldnt shift after it warmed up, ran strong till then. so i tore it down cleaned the valve body put it all back together, and now it runs strong in 1 and 2 but wont shift into D or OD could this be a tv cable issue? what do ya think?
Try replacing the Gov solenoid. http://www.doghousediesel.com/catalog/i307.html
And here is the factory adjustment for the TV cable, which btw, I doubt is the problem.

Yep., +1 on TV not being the problem. This is not a factor in pulling, hot or cold. It is for shifting.
If it does nothing when hot and is in gear, it is slipping. Or somehow fluid is dumping. Gov soleoid might be an issue, but I suspect ther is more.

it is strong now no slipping after cleaning valve body just wont go into d or od if i let off the throttle in 2 it will simply coast until i get back into the throtle then back to 2nd and it will also downshift to 1 st as i come to a stop
