Default transmission troubles

my1995 2500 4x4 V-10 is acting up, rebuilt new pump, converter, complete overhaul kit. Worked fine for a week but now is slow going into reverse, also if you pull out slow and stop before it shifts it acts like it is low on fluid, tries to pull but want. If you pull out and it shifts it works fine till you stop.

In answer to who did the rebuild, the former owner of performance trasmissions, retired, just a few weeks ago. He says it has to be in the valve body. I drove it today and it worked fine but till I get it fixed I want drive it far.

I was told to try adding a bottle of Lubeguard for sticky valves to my transmission. After adding the lube guard it seems to be working fine.I have taken it on several shrt trips with noproblems. It looks to be fixed.

I would be hesitant to add anything to the tranny. Sometimes these products are like snake oil, and if it helps, only masks the problem. Additionally, it alters the coefficeint op friction and lubricity of the fluid.
