5200 Lbs for my 2500 4x4, so none of you 2wd 1500's are even near 5000... I am getting 13.3ish with 35's, stock gears and a 5.9. That is not terrible. I haven't had most of the rest of the problems either.

my truck weighed 5600lbs when I got it tared for my moves. It is an extended cab. My 1996 5.2 weighed in at 4800 regular cab (also 4x4). That is a huge difference. They both had fiberglass caps on the beds as well.

i think the best way to find how much your truck weighs is find some scales drive your truck across. i drove my 81 across some scales and it only weighed a whole 3800 pounds with just me in it.

I went out and looked at the sticker on the door, the GVWR is 6400lbs. I've had my truck on a scale before, but that was long ago and I don't remember what is was.

GVWR is what you can safely load it to max. You need curb weight look on your registration.

That's what I meant, that's what I was getting the 6400lbs from. Give me a sec...... Ok, no curb weight or weight rating period on my registration...

Oh well... Lighter is better anyway.......... It's still a heavy sob.

Cummins Megacab weighed in at 8000lbs flat with some duffel bags in the back seat, tank of fuel, and 2 people... I wouldnt think the 2nd gen half tons would weigh that much?

Imagine how much it would weigh if you had stopped for coffee.
