My registration says 5500 empty.

My 98 2wd qc with a little bit of stuff in the toolbox and 3/4 tank of fuel weighed 5640 leaving the landfill with my dog and kids so subtract our weight and the truck was 5260. I usually avg 13.5 MPG with 3.55's but got a hair over 14 cruising down i75 @ 75 MPH last week . Was 11-12 when I had 33" mt's.

5450lbs according to scrap yard scales, reg cab sb 4x4 w/ 35's (or 5250, its a blurr, moneys on the 5450 though)

Why has no body mention the distributor is in the rear? like to kick the engineer who had that idea square in the man beans.

Depends on what you have in mind with the dizzy..... if you off road a lot, and go thru deep water, behind the manifold is the most protected spot. In front of the manifold, and the dist is in serious danger of getting wet..... at which point, the engine stops running. In the middle of the creek, that would be a problem.
