Cup holder in my Ram seems to be OK. The one in my Yota is a thin slide out, just below the ac vents....so that any viration form the road splashes coffee INTO the AC vents and the cup holdres so it won't slide back in very well. No THAT design s*cks!

I think they're the best cup holders in any vehicle I've ever been in

There must be something wrong with mine then. No matter what I put in the cup holder, take a turn at normal speeds and without fail, there it goes falling to the floor, spilling your drink everywhere.

It's gotten to the point that, whenever I stop at say a fast food joint, I just hold the cup with one hand and steer with the other.

I think there was some sarcasm in those posts.

But, the aftermarket ones that go in the center console are 10x more convenient than dash mounted ones, and once your cup holder breaks, it makes a great spot to mount your CB radio

I like the factory cupholders in the truck. Seriously. It's also the 1st vehicle I've ever had with a cupholder lol. Adjust the arm to hold it tight and I've never had anything fall out. It will hold a little bottle of water, 1 liter of soda, coffee cup, sippee cup, etc. Does the arm on yours work like it's supposed to?

I notice that the folks that like theirs, have 98 and newer trucks, the folks that DON'T like theirs, have 97 and older.... mainly because the cupholders moved in 98 down to the lower dash, and was a MUCH better design. I have a 96, and my cup holders are pretty much useless.... unless, the major design goal there was to make sure the t-case lever was liberally lubricated with my COFFEE!

You realize, that when you die, you are held upside down in a vat, filled with the coffee you wasted in life. If you drown, you go to hell.

Yeah ive had 2 2001 model rams and the cup holdera work flawlessly. They will even hold a 32 oz gatorade without a problem.

Haha...I didn't even notice that! After a few people posted I thought, " Well what the hell am I doing wrong? It's a friggin' cup holder!!!"

Therefore I maintain my original position...the cup holder in my truck is 100% pure crap. It's so bad, it's almost like it was purposely designed that way as a joke!
