Default Long Tube Fit? Yay or Nay?

So I'm looking into getting Pacesetter Long Tubes for my 2001 Dodge Ram 4x4 1500 with a 5.2L 318. I also gonna be doing a whole new dual exhaust system. My question is will the pacesetter long tubes and offroad y pipe be a direct fit? I've herd from some that they fit and from some that they rub or are really close to other parts. So whats the verdict?

Off Road Y-pipe is designed for shorties, or stock manifolds. There is a specific y-pipe for the long-tubes. It is custom fit for our trucks. If you want to go true duals though, y-pipe isn't required.

Are long tubes even legal for road and highway use with a single chamber muffler and duals?

Long tubes are legal everywhere so far as I know. So long as it isn't too loud that you attract the attention of John Law, and if you have inspections, you have a cat, everything should be golden.
