Hi guys i was wondering if any of u could help me i had a disaster happen with my truck the other day and it is now undrivable im looking for a rear driveshaft and need a new transfer case mount and also a new tail housing for the transmission if any of u could help it would be much appreciated and my truck is a 98 1500 4x4. thanks alot.

 

Your local wrecking yard will be your best bet, however there is always Craigslist.

 

Local parts store will have a tranny/transfer case mount.(Unless your talking about the frame rail part) Local driveshaft shop can replace and or fix the shaft. (plus they will balance it). As far as the tail shaft goes, you talking TC or tranny to TC housing?


And please, next time you post in the tech section. Could you please use a better thread title. "need help" really doesn't help anyone doing a search.

 

ok will do and its the tail housing of the transmission to the transfer case and thanks ive been able to locate everything except the tail housing.

 

Wittrans.com has 'em, and there are a couple on ebay as well. Prices run from 30 to over 100 bucks. Depends on which you need/want, and what all comes with it.
