Default Air conditioner problems. Im driving myself insane!

For about a year or more, I have had AC problems, but have lived with it. It constantly went from cold to hot, cold to hot, etc. Sometimes, if I turned off the AC completely for like 10-15 mins while driving, and then turn it back on, its cold again, and would blow cold for a few mins, then go hot again. I have replaced the AC controls on the dash but that didnt fix it.

What is left for me to check for, and how do I do it? The compressor never cuts off nor does it make weird noises. It runs as it should.

Also, there is plenty of Freon in the system, and its charged up just fine. What is going on? Ive been traveling a lot lately and these 100 degree temperatures are getting to me with this AC not working.

Please Help!!!!!

How would this help with the cold to hot, hot to cold, cold to hot, etc, etc? I'm not having any problems with WHERE the air is coming out (defrost, vents, floor)... I'm only having, even though it has happened before. I replaced the AC Control Unit, but it didn't fix the hot to cold, cold to hot, etc... Is that what this piece is for? Can you explain? Thank you!

On your truck, the blend door, (the one that controls air temp...) is controlled by a little actuator motor on the bottom side of the heater box, just to the passenger side of the trans tunnel. There is a coupler between the motor, and the axle the door is physically attached to, that is cheap plastic. It breaks, and lets the blend door basically flop around in the breeze inside the heater box. That's why your temp is so inconsistent.

Ohhhhhh, wow - Thanks! I'm about to go outside and drop the actuator motor and see what it looks like. Sounds good to me lol

Would a right angle screwdriver give me plenty of room to get in there to that 2nd screw?
