question.....the rubber gasket that came with the filter that i bought from advance sucks.... the pan leaked like crazy after i put it back together, and filled it up..

any of you guys have a trans pan gasket you recommend? tired of seeing trans fluid leaking. especially when its dripping my my head when im under my truck, gets rather annoying!

felpro.

As long as it's rubber; but the thing is to make sure you dont over torque your pan.. else you cause pooching. you can use a dab (very thin) sealant just to set the gasket on the pan and hold it there with the bolt holes lined up.. i used a small thin dap every so often and around the corners to ensure a good hold when i put mine back in.. I use and recommend the Black one.. it's Highly Oil resistance better than the red/orange/blue

ON the tranducer just want to point out the Governor transducer is the Soliniod. the one that is in the center, the Governor Pressure sensor is the black thing hanging off the side in your photo..

The 44re and I think 45re ? have a round 4 pin plug and higher model trans. have the one your listing. The 44re had a retaining clip on the inside of the pressure vally to hold it in there..

And I paid that price for the Mopar versions. I just do not trust Borg Warner anymore and Like i said in my first post on this thread; that is something my dad always told me.. certain major parts like MAP sensors' trannsmissions parts; go back with factory parts.. These after market parts are designed as cheaply as possible OFF the factory part.. they make no improvements to them.

i have the 46re, problem is the trans is a 98 model year, and i have a 2001 truck. the sensors were correct for the 98 model year. the parts changed in 2000 to what i have in there now. so the sensor retainer is not the correct one.....

picked up 3 feet of trans cooler line tonight, thought i bought 3/8's, but bought 5/16's instead, got charged for the 3/8's too. made the 5/16's work though. my pressure line was getting kinked going to the remote filter, so i fixed that! now i just gotta wait for the new bracket.

hopefully, within the next couple weeks, i can get the trans temp gauge, line manifold(from diesel manor), and steering wheel pod.

god i miss driving this truck!!!!!
