Default transmission shifting issues governor sensor

hey guys. just installed all new sensors, and solenoids in my transmission.

my transmission shifted fine before i did all this work. now that i have all new (correct) sensors in there it only shifts to 2nd when i let off the gas(cant get it to 3rd due to slippage either) and when it does shift to 2nd, it doesnt catch very well, and slips very badly.

i have the borg warner gov. solenoid.

have any of you had this issue? if you have, any help is appreciated!

thanks

Borg Warner= SMP (Standard Motor Products) they turned Borg parts to cheap crap I wont ever buy again.. Every part i bought in their brand has failed or sux.. Some parts like these you wnat Mopar. I bought mine off a guy on Ebay top rated seller; sensor and transducer...

I would return that and ask for your money back and get Mopar.

well, i bought the solenoid, and transducer as part of one auction on ebay, and the seller only accepts returns as long as they werent installed. so how would i go about getting this fixed? kinda feel like im screwed!

edit: guess i could always put my old gov. solenoid back in, and see if it fixes it.

i should be good to reuse the atf, seeing how its only been in there for about 1 hour run time, and less than a mile drive time. just gotta find a just big enough to hold all the fluid.

I would check and make sure things are installed correctly.... sounds like you have some leakage there.

The mopar pressure sensor is prone to failure on hard acceleration...... it doesn't provide the correct info, so the trans never shifts till you let off the gas...... It's a crap shoot as to which part is going to better serve it's purpose.

hhmmmmm well im going to pull the drain plug and save the fluid, and swap out the gov solenoid. i have a case open on ebay to get my money back on the BW solenoid.

this is the solenoid, and transducer i got. i know i dont have a 48re, but its the same part numbers for 42-48re transmissions according to wit trans.

this is a 98 transmission..... is that block different in the 2001 models, so the transducer fits differently?

the transducer that i took out had a clip on the inside holding it in. new transducer doesnt go far enough in the block to use said clip.

Might be easier to get the sensor for the model year trans that you have. Just grab one from the local parts store.
