You need to let the RTV setup a some, before installation. And it sounds like you are using too much.
eh, i still dont like rubber gaskets lol. i prefer the felpro material stuff, and they usually reinforce their gaskets with a metal of some kind to make it stiff and NOT floppy lol

Yeah... Rubber, Viton, whatever the hell the NOT cork gaskets are made of. Mine was some variety of flexible material, with metal reinforcing. (fel-pro) Fit up nice, sealed nice, no leaks on the driveway. I DO need to figger out where my oil is going though....

i'm oddly ok with it disappearing. as long as its not a massive amount in a short period of time. i mean, i would imagine over a period of time, oil would just get consumed anyway in small portions.
