Ah, I have a 3/4 ton, so, don't have that same flavor of steering as you folks.

Nope. Solid bar between tie rod ends on mine. Arm from steering box goes down to it. My toe doesn't change with suspension travel, the direction the wheels point might though.... I think... now you have me wondering.....

I think all 2nd gen 4x4's had y-links except for those 98.5-99's with the "HD" steering.

thanks for all your help guys, i now am more confused than ever, i just thought that the figures could be provided for my vehicle from some data base or another, i will start to experiment with it asap and see how that goes. for anyone interested its a 2nd gen 2wd 1500 slt[1996]
