I remember a few years ago I was going to change the water pump on my truck, and was told to only buy a NEW one, instead of a re-manufactured one.

A reman may or may not be quality, as aluminum is soft and can get wollered out. Machining tolerances might not be up to snuff.

A new one, on the other hand, is going to be exactly that, NEW.

Hope this helps. Josh

Kegger mod.

Also, Don't regear those stock 1/2 ton axles if you plan to swap in better ones anyway.
