Well seems like a loose connection...if i bend the wires it will work....weird


Also i went under the truck today to start pulling out the transfer case to reseal it and i was not impressed when i went under...

From sitting for about 4 months the surface rust on the frame was bad....nothing was weak checked with hammer and its not flaking just surface rust...im proud to say my frame always looked great only have two quarter size holes in front where sway bar bolts to frame and thats it rest of frame has always been mint...so i had to go to the store and get some undercoat...didnt want to spend money on her this week but $7 worth of undercoat did the whole frame so shes back to my likings...

Wife has to work through the weekend so i probably wont do much to her until monday...and hopefully if all goes well i can finally get my new door and finish body work and paint...wont know if i can get it until next wednesday unfortunatly

 

And to add im on a deadline...hunting season is comming quick and i need her done by october 10 which is my bday because im going on a bird hunting trip near canada...so i have about 6 weeks to have all repairs done get it stickered and registered...going to be close

 

Ehh if you dont get ot done you can cover my expenses and we can take my truck. Lol

 

Done the same thing and experienced the same thing. Sometimes wiggling the wires around makes it work sometimes it doesn't. Some times I have to smack it several times for it to work and other times it works like it should.

Woot!!

Just got some great news thats going to kick the truck work into high gear...tonight my wifes boss called me and asked if i wanted to be a delivery driver tuesdays and thursdays 11-9....

Now this is what makes it great...first off the only thing i do is deliver...i automatically get $5 per delivery plus tips...so if theres no deliveries i can go home bwcause i live close and dont have to go in until theres a delivery. And my wife and daughter can come with me on deliveries since my wife works there.

I do not get an hourly wage...just the $5 for each delivery and whatever i get for tips. I dont know if i should say this it its under the table so i llllllllllllmmwill still get unemployment.

 

By the way droid phones suck...it posts words i dont type and i cant see the last line of what i write...so all those letters im sorry i couldnt scroll down to delete it...

But yea im pumped....but it still sucks with my unemployment, my wifes paycheck and what ill make delivering still wont be as much as 40 hours at my real job...my dad works at bath iron works with me and the info he got at work today says i will be back to work by october....then some major stuff will be done to the ol dodge...

And this is completly random but i need to rename my truck since shes black now...i use to call her ol' blue....now with black i have a couple names i need to pick.

What do you guys think i have...Smoke...The dark knight...or chuck norris....


Im sorry i always post personal things and such. I have a bad insomnia problem....pretty much every night i dont fall asleep until after 3 and i wake up 730-8....been consistant for about a month now and nyquil or sleeping pills wont knock me out...and to be quite honest since ive moved into my house which is out in the country and like 20i mins from where all my friends are no one tries to hang out with me anymore...and again being completly honest its because i quit smoking pot and thats what i use to do with my buddies...now that i dont no one wants to hang out...tells me something and the sad part is i have 2 friends that ive known since we were 4 and weve always been best friends...they were my best man/groomsman at my wedding but now because i dont smoke im nothing to them....


Again im sorry that i ramble about this i dont really vent to my wife and i dont know why. Just cant....so im kinda venting now....any mod if they feel this post shouldnt be here then by all means delete it....i just need to get that off my chest...and regardless if anyone reads this i feel better now that i typed this

But i did a little tinkering to her today. I ripped out the headliner and my question is what adhesive would i use for new fabric? I have searched and didnt find answer and i thought there was a diy headliner thread but its not in the diy section....

 

Well after watching car warriors i have a nice idea im going to do AFTER i have the truck done and back on the road ..a custom dash with all mechanical guages...anyone attempt this? I already have a volt, tach, and oil psi mechanical gauge so why not put them to use i got them for free...

So if anyones done this could you post pics? I think its a great idea because mechanical gauges are more accurate so ill know real numbers from my motor

 

For the headliner just get some 3m contact adhesive in a spray can and go by directions. I have used it several times with great results.
